About EACO, Inc.

Karibuni! Welcome to the Web site of the East African Community Organization (EACO Inc.) in the Capital District of the State of New York. We are glad to have you visit our site and hope you find it informative.

The East African Community Organization (EACO Inc.) is a not-for-profit organization, organized exclusively for charitable, humanitarian and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501c (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.

The organization was founded in 2005 by a group of East Africans living in Albany NY. The main emphasis was to create awareness among members of the need to promote education initiatives for the impoverished East Africa children and those children in need in the United States.

The organization promotes cultural awareness among other African Organizations in the Capital districts and in other States. The organization seeks to volunteer in different causes in the Capital District.

To become a member, the Organization welcomes all East Africans and all well wishers to join by contributing an annual tax deductable membership fee of $75 for singles and $120 for couples (see Become a Member section on right). We also accept any other form of donations. Through these contributions, we can afford to carry on the good cause of supporting literacy in our children.
